Below are some of the questions I am frequently
asked.
If you have specific questions about any
part of coaching or what we offer here, please just call or email.
How is Transition
Coaching different than therapy or Roxane's Personal
Consultations?
Listen
Transition Coaching is action-oriented
toward your goals and focuses on becoming aware of present patterns
so you can create your future. Coaching includes
a series of focused sessions over time, follow-up and homework. Transition
Coaching incorporates aspects such as Awareness Building and Energy Management Tools.
Transition Coaching is not psycho-therapy, which sometimes
explores painful past emotional issues in order to
re-experience them and fix them. Transition Coaching
differs from a Personal Consultation, which consists
of a single session and generally addresses only
a few issues.
What might I expect
to occur before our first session? Listen
Many women experience curiosity, doubts, excitement, unexpected “negative” and/or “high” events
or emotions prior to this session. ALL OF THESE SYMPTOMS ARE COMPLETELY
NORMAL AND EXPECTED and are often the sign that you are ready
to make major positive shifts.
What can I expect
of myself and the coaching experience:
Listen
In my experience, almost every client passes through some periods of
feeling completely invincible and other periods of feeling fearful, doubtful,
tired, or resistant to the process. Welcome or not, all these phases are
part of the necessary growth cycle. Overall, however, the growth curve
IS POSITIVE and can include increased earnings, better use of time,
better physical shape, better relationships, more free time - and always
an overall increase in one's sense of personal management, happiness and peace of mind.
How will I know when
I’m finished working with my coach?
Listen
As part of the initial introduction and assessment, a wise and capable
coach will ask you, “How do you know you are successful?” Although
this will evolve during your work together, the answer to that question
will help you recognize how far you have come and what you have yet to
work on.
Why is the three month
commitment necessary? Listen
The changes you are about to make are very big and your stumbling blocks
to greatness have been around for years. Resistance to growth, in the form
of old habits, “brain chatter” and all the reasons why we “should
stay the same” pop up. This resistance can manifest itself in idle
dabbling, sudden financial concerns, distractions, avoiding your scheduled session or
feelings that it isn’t working. Know that these periods will come
and go within our time together. A three month commitment will make it
easier to pass through these Growth Periods, so hang in with the process
and achieve the goals you have set out to reach.
